The TGNS Voyager service incorporates state-of-the-art file compression technology
that is capable of achieving 60 per cent file size reduction. This file compression
makes Voyager the most technically advanced digital NTM service available on the
market today. When using Voyager Service the vessel only receives tracings relevant to
its chart outfit thus further reducing the file sizes and subsequently keeping the
communication costs to a minimum.
The Voyager service does not require any additional communication equipment thereby
eliminating any hardware, installation and on-going maintenance costs. All that’s
required is a Windows PC, colour inkjet printer and Internet or E-mail access. The
Voyager software is installed on a Windows PC and can be updated via email or web
service.
